To help simplify payment of school meals, the Western Boone Community School Corporation (WBCSC) has enrolled in an internet-based service called Café Prepay. This service is a website where you can deposit money into your student’s meal account using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Participation in this service is voluntary; you may enroll at any time. Café Prepay enables parents to keep track of their student’s account balance. In addition, the website offers Automatic Replenish. This is optimal for the student whose lunch spending varies greatly from day to day. With automatic replenish, when the student's account balance goes below a specified amount, another specified amount is then deposited into the student's account via credit card. Using "automatic replenish on low balance", the student will never run out of money. Parents can check the progress of their student as the teachers input the grades. If you need a password, please check with your respective school. Click on the school that your student attends to enter the correct portal.

ALERTNOW NOTIFICATION SERVICE Keeping you informed is a top priority at Western Boone Community Schools. That's why we have adopted the ALERTNOW Notification Service which will allow us to send a telephone or e-mail message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies. In the event of an emergency at school, you can have peace of mind knowing that you will be informed immediately by phone and e-mail. Our first test message is scheduled to be sent at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. |

WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS & EARLY DISMISSALS: Local radio stations and TV stations WRTV (Channel 6), WISH (Channel 8), WTHR (Channel 13) and Fox 59 will broadcast cancellations, delays or early dismissals. Please note that it is school corporation policy that if school is cancelled or dismissed early for weather related reasons ALL after school activities including athletic practices, club meetings, AAU practices and scout meetings are also cancelled. |
