Welcome to Western Boone County Community School Corporation.  We hope you find our community a place that provides wonderful academic opportunities in a rural setting.  Our schools have received many awards over the past years.  We have Four Star Schools, National Blue Ribbon Schools, Best Buy Schools from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and a silver medal from Newsweek and World News.  All of these awards only come about because of the hard work and dedication from the students, staff and families. 

Education has been in the spotlight for the past several years.  Some of this publicity has been negative and some positive.  I would like to say for Western Boone Schools we have taken the new mandates as a means to get even better.  The new accountability system will allow our teachers to provide the best leadership, instruction and planning in their classrooms each and every day.  Our Vision is to provide the best learning environment possible for all of our students.

We are proud of who we are and what we offer the families of western Boone county.  The extra-curricular programs are an important part of our schools and help create the well-rounded student.  Over fifty percent of our students participate in athletics at Western Boone and many more participate in clubs and activities.  Our elementary schools also offer athletics and clubs for their students.
